What about the kids who have zero interests in any field? What if they have no clue what they want to do with their lives at fourteen years old when they enter the academy? Are the learning programs flexible in their curriculum to allow for interest changes during the students time at the school? Will the student still receive an appropriate education if they do make a interest change? They should be taught the same basic skill set but the interest classes should not come into effect until their junior and senior years like college curriculum dictates. Has the school district seen to it that there will be enough counselors or learning experience coordinators at this school to direct those outlying students or does the school district feel that these outlying students are not worthy enough and the students will be left alone to fend for themselves like ninety-five percent of the students that walk those halls now? Instead of building a Taj Mahal of all schools, why can't we devote the resources we have to making the learning experience better for all students and not the select few of the families who are pushing this project to further along their cause. Those of us who have lived here our whole lives know who runs this town and it's not the mayor or the city council.

Don't fret connor We will end up subsidizing those farmers that lose their products. Every time a natural disaster strikes farmers are the first ones to stand up and shout that they need help. Do you hear anyone complaining about helping the farmers out in their time of need? I don't.

I get a kick out this statement.

"He pledged to continue "speaking out about the problems facing our country" and asked for $10 donations to help pay his campaign bills."

Typical Republican. Racks up millions by staying in the race. Then expects someone else to pay his share of the bill so he can have his money. Got to love this tool.

Here connor, this wasnt too hard to find. Seems to me that this website pretty much blows your statement out of the water. I'm sure you will have some come back about how this is flawed or some other lame excuse. That is Par for the course coming from your end of the spectrum.

You mean adults that cast aspersions towards others because they have differing opinions than other adults. You mean adults that cant reason with each other and call others names and adults who can't seem to form a rational opinion other than what they hear on a partisan news channel. Are These the adults you want in the room to solve problems Spel?

How about alcohol? You talk about a correlation between alcohol and other ills in society. I have seen alcohol ruin many more lives than smoking pot every has. People drinking and then getting behind the wheel, Killing innocent people with a two and a half ton vehicle. Men getting drunk on whiskey and going home and beating his wife and their kids.

Oh yea, pot really makes people want to do that.

I'm not advocating the lifestyle, like other alternative lifestyles. What ever floats their boat. But what I am advocating is the people are speaking and the governments are not listening. The law of the land is the will of the people. Not the corporations that are considered citizens either.
