Drug screening is very expensive. Unless the person producing the screen is supervised, there will be all kinds of ways around this. Then somebody would have to check the validity of prescribed drugs that could give a positive urine screen. Many answers needed. Still, many of us are screened in order to get a job/continue working in that job.
There is a high deer population in that area-it is very near Town & Country, if you remember there are all sorts of issues with the deer there. Also it is not too far from the Mo. River. Speculation here in StL is that it travelled along the river. Go to KSDK.com for more about this story.
@1kid: She is a very kind & gracious person. I've met her several times.
It's not just government workers-my job is cutting all of our hours as of Jan 1st, meaning we will be losing $ every paycheck. We also get cancelled for low census. When I was a nurse for the state, that never happened. Full time nurses are getting cancelled sometimes every other shift. Does this apply to management? Of course not! But that's the way it goes.
On top of that, we have to buy new uniforms to conform with the dress code that goes into effect the beginning of next year, just when we are all getting hosed for real estate tax, personal property tax, etc.

If you're a political junkie like me, you hang out at The Cap & watch the House/Senate proceedings-but that's only a few months out of the year.

Times are hard. We just have to deal with it.
