Spokesman for late state auditor found dead March 30, 2015
I am a Christian, one who is also a Civil Libertarian. All adults should be free to make choices how to live their lives, free from government intrusion. That includes both gays, Christians, Muslims, etc. Gays are not willing to accept being allowed to make choices for them they want government to force me to accept their lifestyle. They are going to keep pushing politicians until I no longer have the freedom to express my views that the gay lifestyle is not in line with Christian views. Gays cry out for tolerance, but only when it is tolerance of their views, they certainly exhibit no tolerance for my point of view.
If the President did not unilaterally tell his minions to selectively enforce the law then how did it happen? Did I miss news of a Congressional vote changing the current law? This is just another example of Obama's willingness to ignore our laws and do whatever he, a god in his own mind, wants.
The only thing wrong with current immigration laws it the absolute refusal to enforce them over the past 30 years, since the last amnesty for illegals.
This is very good news for US workers. I had no idea that over 70% of workers had access to a 401k plan that includes company matching funds. This gives most Americans no excuse for not saving for retirement. Anyone who can afford the luxury of satellite/cable TV, a data plan on their cell phones, $5/pack cigarettes, etc., can divert spending for luxury items into 401k contributions. On top of their money they get the benefit of company matching money.
How can a US government organization strip Armstong of titles/wins in Europe. The entire debacle has no doubt cost US taxpayers millions, if not tens of millions, of dollars. What did we gain by yet another steroids witch hunt? Armstrong, Bonds, etc are big boys, they can decide whether or not they want to play by the rules of their sport and it is that sport's job to enforce their rules.
Great news, to bad Obama isn't doing the same (reducing debt) on the national level. Now is the time to start slowly increasing interest rates to encourage people to save. Currently savers lose money, inflation is higher than interest rates. Reducing debt and living within our means, both on a personal and national level would be the greatest thing we could do for our children and grandchildren.
I wonder if Obama is equally as fervent about AIDS prevention? Is he supporting forcing anyone to display photos of people dying of the disease? AIDS/HIV need not be contracted by anyone, if you are just a little discriminating in your sex life, and you don't share drug needles, the chance of your contracting the disease is minuscule.
Rather than spending more and more money on schools maybe we should start kicking the butts of people who refuse to instill the value of an education in their children. Education is available, with far to many taxpayer funded bells and whistles.
Maybe requiring folks on welfare, those who refused to take advantage of a free high school education, to speak to the kids in school wouldn't hurt. With taxpayers now providing food stamps to one of every seven people, and providing some type of handout to one in every three people, it should not be difficult to find speakers.
I recently have been spending time in this area. So far the old prison tour is one of the few things I've done that I would recommend to friends who might visit.
I am new to MO. We may relocate here because our granddaughter and great-granddaughter live here. I am shocked at how much higher the taxes are, compared to TN.
What non-taxpayer funded businesses in central MO have better benefit pkg's than the state?
