I don't see where Lincoln is classified as a community college by anything in the on-line version of the story, in fact it appears that Linn and Lincoln are being contrasted with CCs. Linn has some STEM curriculae, but Rolla, MU, and other state schools have the bulk of it. Linn has a tech focus, not an advanced research or higher degree programs. They're all underfunded, except those schools that teach that women should be educated, employed, and paid rather just bred. Those schools should be shut down eh?

Even state standards don't always hold up to a reasonable smell test. Creationism, non-science, bigotry and mysongeny are pushed by religious fundamentalists and other backward thinking dolts all over the US. At least Missouri still requires science, math, language skills, tech skills, and history along with all that useless humanity stuff.

It's not even up to him at all, except as a leader expressing an opinion. It's the Scouts' decision alone, and their future will be determined by the public's response. As long as people realize that the Boy Scouts already have gay scouts and leaders, removing the pointless ban is not that big a deal.

And the fight continues, "revolutionaries" funded and trained by outsiders, and supported by majorities of the populations. Neither were democracies with elected administrations. No comparisons apply.

We'll never know, Americans will not elect a CIC who would make such a dufus mistake. 100 million protestors, against FOX's imaginary conspiracy? Right. Remind me again which side the Tories were on? Posse Comitatus seems to be arbitrarily applied . . . I recal National Guardsmen patroling Kansas City's Plaza in the spring of 1968, and yes I know they're not entirely the federal army, but they are the military by any reasonable definition.

The Afghan militia is a decades-in-training, well funded by our oil, army of God. The Afghans have been fighting modern armies for centuries, and each other for that matter. A true backwoods militia is helpless against the military of any modern nation. A well regulated militia, supported by federal supplies and rules on the other hand . . . I repeat; should this insane person have ANY firearm, for any purpose? But how do we know he's insane . . . before he shot and nabbed anyway. Only the insane or incompetent should be disarmed . . . if you think you're being targeted for disarmament by the administration, are you insane or incompetent . . . or just misinformed by FOX? Tough call. What would your ex say if asked by a gov'ment psych nanny?

Until the reforms that Nixon and others are calling for are established, it'd be political suicide to pass on the money other are getting through the present system. If you want a smell test violation, check Ron Richards' donor list.

Yep, the economy has bumped down again, due mostly to a lack of stimulus. It'll be back. If "official" government figures aren't trusted enough not use quotes, they shouldn't be used, that's hypocrisy. Chuckling at unions doing all they can for their members, even asking for more than most think they need right now is wasted energy. Chuckle instead at corporate tax evaders scheming to cheat even more. Using tyrany-implying terms like "Obama's regime" is an insult to Americans and our democracy. At least he was elected. There has been no attempt by this, or any other, administration in history to disarm American citizens. that is propaganda from the FRight wing. It's nowhere near 30 million, but we should get used to it. Immigration is US. Careful spending and proportionate tax adjustments will indeed help Missouri keep up with America's future, created by hard working Americans, rather than slip into the southern third world.

Many can afford to pay a bit more taxes. There are some who can afford significantly higher taxes. There are many who can afford to pay what they owe but avoid it. There are some who figure out how to owe virtually nothing compared to their worth who can afford to pay an appropriate amount.

Taxes decrease, not increase, debt. Spending can increas debt, but careful spending can stimulate economic activity that ultimately decreases debt. Watch the government carefully, and participate actively in the financial processes. This is still a democracy in spite of fearful language from the FRight claiming the loss of freedom and rights to an imaginary boogeyman. Watch the wealthy very carefully, they have the means to control their obligations and they have, as do we all, their own interests at heart.
