When I first moved to Jefferson City the Capitol of the State of Missouri I was really shocked with the absence of things to such as night clubs, and dance halls with life music...How do we attempt to bring in new business??? Now I am not saying that a pn shop is going to bring in new business except maybe another pn shop...heaven forbid...But maybe a strip bar or 2...Not all of the lawmakers that come to Jefferson City are so old that they have to be into bed at 7:00 PM...Some would like to go out and have a good time with maybe a person of the oppisit sex...Heck this day and age maybe with someone of the same sex...So come on you old foggeys get off your hands...If you want to know what people think...Put it on the ballot...You did with the smoking ban now I can not sit and have a smoke after eating at a resturant...Or having a drink...Then you want to us to let you smoke in your capitol office...Well heck...We will even let you read pn in your office while you smoke...Pass the marijuana law making that leagal in Missouri...Y'all might get re-elected...But don't none of you count on it...So far not one of you in office now is getting my vote...And I know a lot of people feel the same way
EmphasisIt is about time that a judge and jury stood behind our correctional officers working in our jails and prison's...I for one could not work at that type of job...I did work in the law and security field for a lot of years, and at one time did think about working as a correctional officer...But while on a tour of the jail...When they closed the door on me...That was it...I had no trouble working out in the field, of course...I was armed and correctional officers are not...I doubt this will have much of an effect on the prisoners but we can only hope...I for one feel it would not be to harsh to impose the death penalty on any inmate who would attack a guard...But that is just me
I hate to be a wet blanket...But I think it is about time this construction is about done...Yes I know we have had some bad weather that has caused delays...Which brings to mind my first question...Just how many people will really be using this bycycle path anyway???..Not as many as the cars that use it I bet but the cars will have to suffer narrow lanes...And I wonder...Is Calloway County footing any of the cost???...I mean after all half of this path goes into their county...I just feel this was a large cost to the taxpayers that is not going to benifit that many
I think the kid got off lucky...I think he should have been given the death penalty..He was old enough to be carrying a gun...He was old enough to be running from a police officer...Who was in uniform I am sure...So he can't say 'I did not know he was a cop'...And he was old enough to pull the trigger...Just because he was tired of being chased...Oh poor soul...And why don't we stop feeling sorry for him and think about the poor police officer who was doing his duty and was killed for it...
EmphasisNow is sure not the time for any rate hikes by anyone...With Gas over $3.00 a gallon everything is going up except the take home pay and for us that are on fixed income...It is a killer
Not all Missorian's are being helpful except to their selfs...Took my dog out just a little while ago and found that some kind soul had stolen my snow shovel right off my front porch...Being disabled there is a lot of things I can no longer do for myself so the loss of this shovel is really going to hurt me...My car is snowed in as I am sure other people have the same problem there and I was waiting for my son-in-law to get to feeling better so that maybe he and a friend of his would like to pick up a little money by shoveling out my car...Now I have to wait for how long I have no idea and all my doctors appointments are at the VA in Colombia and it looks like I will have to cancel them...Oh well...Into every life some snow will fall
