Hey Democrats drop the guns, an baby agenda, and put this bunch back in the pages of history for another 148 years! These Republican/Pro Business folks do not get it? There is 72 records of what they have accomplished this session so far, or a waste of time in my opinion! It has been all about business accomplisments about Eggs, kids working on relatives farms, Right to Work, prevailing rate, unemployment cuts, and Union Bashing. Right after the Civil War they were refererd to as CARPET BAGGERS, and the tradition continues with this 2013 session! Rob

Sancho, lets not forget about Kids under 16 working on a relatives farms! If you go to Missouri Legislator, Truly Agreed to and Finally Passed there are 72 records with words like: Appropiate, Eliminate, Modifies, Regulate, Exempt, Raises, Urges, Requires, Prohibits, Specifies, and Allows! If you continue to read each, and every one of those 72 records, it proves they did not do Nothing, just like their counter parts in Washington DC! Bi- Partisanship, and Lobbiests are destroying this nation. The Republicans want us all to look like Texas, regulate where a million dollars liabilty is all you need to insure an ammonia nitrate storage/plant, and we sure do not need one of those Federal groups poking their nose in my business! I will not forget those gun grabbing Democrats either, what a true waste of energy! To Dem/Rep its about JOBS Stupid! Lets not forget those Duck Eggs I would have thought the Conservation bunch would have been all over that, we could have Farm kids under the age of 16 harvesting Duck eggs at the pond, and introducing them into the food chain! JC Lifer, I do not see how the state employees can implement a good Union program with all the Republican controls that have established! My problem which some cannot see on this page is there is a turn over problem, my friends tell me that, and I believe them. I am told that the bosses cannot even man the positions they oversee? They have been brought through the system, and promoted to the point that all they can do is bean count! The front line workers deserve the raises! I cannot do everything in my field, but I can carry my weight in the field as the boss, or a craftsman. rob

Wiki says 30,000 employed with the State of Missouri, 30 million divided by 30 thousand? I am surprised they can even get anybody to work for Corrections! Rob

Because our Republican legislators do not care! They are concerned with how much money they can collect for their coffers from lobbiest, and political groups though! Rob

I watched TV 13 last night, broadcasting from the Lodge of the 4 seasons. The Lodge offers spa's, Boating, fishing, golf, fine dining, 3 swimming pools, ect, and the gentelman they interviewed said the State is their main stay in the winter time for conventions! We bettter have a good plan for our convention center, because while we are partying on the sand barge the sound of money is roaring on the bridge overhead on its way to the Lake of the OZARKS! Rob

Why don't we remove the river from the gambling equation for starters, we the people of this fine town voted it in on a Presidential vote!, An Interstate would be a good step, but not the loop from 70 to Columbia, but to the Lake, and on to Springfield! That would give us traffic routed from 44 to 70, and that would also give the state a north to south interstate besides 55 and whatever they will call US71, MoDot could even carry it to interstate 76 at Hannibal. There is a tremedous amount of Chigago traffic that would avoid St Louis if they had a clear choice. Mel, you might think no one wants to keep our town small, but you might take a look at the past, starting with traffic lights on 50, most states colleges are in their Capitals, most Capitals of a state have an interstate, most small businesses would gladdly accept big business, but all I have to do is to go back to NT, Where will they get the employees for schoolastics addition? There is a reason why Sedalia tried to strip us of our Capital! rob

Yeah full of fraternal convention people enjoying themselves with all the other folks from St Louis, ect on their way to the lake with a stop at our casino! When was the last time the fraternal order of anything chose JC to hold a state wide convention? Why not do it big rather than on a back lot at the prison, or a known Flood Plain? Urban renewal gave nothing but a bunch of parking lots the state! I miss Little Nells! rob
