I had Lasik surgery a year ago last week...best thing I ever did. It was explained to me, risk and everything. Actually the exam to see if I could have the surgery took longer than the procedure itself. I see better than I ever have in my life(i've worn glasses or contacts since I was 12). I didn't realize how good HDTV was...lol. I have no more problems with halos and such than I did before. I also had it where I see close up with one eye and distance with the other...no reading glasses either! My husband calls them "my special eyes". Worth every penny, but I still reach for my glasses in the morning.
Wow, I thought I was tough on my son, guess I'm a better Mom than I thought. He's only 13, but he can clean house, do laundry, make a bed and hold a conversation. At least I know that he can take care of himself.
I don't know why the state workers complain about their pay, there are alot of people out here who make a whole lot less. and work a heck of a lot harder(not slamming workers, but I work in a factory, hot in the summer cold in the winter, physical work) I just got a letter last week about a job opening with the state...it starts out $300 a month more than I make now. I would love a job where I could set down all day, push papers, talk on the phone. I wouldn't complain about the pay or the benefits(better than I have now)
How did teachers communicate with their students before social media? I will not allow my teenager to have a facebook account, twitter or a cell phone, too many mean people out there...won't let me say n--t or i----s....lol
Using and maximizing is fine, it's the living off the government and my money I have a problem with. If social security shut down today and never paid out another penny, my family would take care of each other, pool our resources and survive. I have never collected welfare, WIC, food stamps, we got by. I collected unemployment, a few checks, but I found work and started over and paid taxes on what I collected, never claimed EIC on my taxes....nobody should ever be able to get a refund greater than the amount they pay in. I could go on about government and wasteful programs, but I could write a book
