They won't be able to swipe the card to use the funds at those locations but they can still go to an atm and get the money off of the card and use the cash to purchase those things so this legislation is just making it less convenient rather than ending it.
Why is it that the public schools are last on this list? Sad that the condition of the state parks and capitol building take a higher presedence over the education of our children.
Apparently many of you who think the current high school is suitable have not been in the jefferson city high school recently and could care less about the future of the children of this town. The high school has been long overdue for an upgrade. Also suggestions to turn the middle schools onto high schools are ridiculous. They are no where near suitable for high school students...they were built for 6-8th graders. I agree that the build suggested is extremely costly but I'm willing to do my part to pay for my children and the other children of this town to have a better future. This type of thing is exactly why jefferson city continually fails to expand and grow like columbia. If people believe two schools are in order than it needs to be two NEW schools not a brand new one and with the other half of the high schoolers getting stuck with the old one.
JCLifer it should be gaining control of all these crimes committed by anyone, not just black males.
