If Francis can solve this problem by allowing women more access to leadership positions, then more power to him. The Democratic leadership in this country is riddled with radical feminist Catholic women.such as Nancy Pelosi. This has taken the onus away from economics to President Carter's "lust in his heart" and a women's power base based on abortion and gay marriage. That is what Francis is facing. It is not a matter of women's rights. It is a matter of family rights and the children which make up that structure both born and unborn. If Francis as a Jesuit loses that perspective, then all is lost. As Wild Willie stated, "it all depends on what the meaning of 'is' is". As Malachi Martin Jesuit advisor at Vatican II wrote, it is all about world socialism and the unification of church and state.
