According to this article "They are hiring locally" and "75-80 percent of the labor and supplies will come from local suppliers and laborers". In writing the article, was any information supplied by Alberici or St. Mary's to support this information? Probably not. Since St. Mary's is a private firm they do not have to divulge this information like a public entity does. I work for a construction firm that bid on several packages for this project and we were informed that the bulk of the work actually went to firms out of St. Louis and Kansas City. I realize and understand that St. Mary's is based out of St. Louis, as is Alberici. But to try and say they are keeping it local is not true, unless local is St. Louis.
