Rebecca Martin is city editor of the News Tribune. She works with reporters to coordinate the newspaper's daily news coverage plans and writes news stories occasionally. Prior to becoming city editor in January 2017, Martin served as features editor and business reporter for the News Tribune for over two years. As business reporter, she covered news about Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri businesses and issues affecting them for the daily newspaper as well as the News Tribune's quarterly business journal, #jcmo Inside Business. As features editor, she focused on expanding and improving the News Tribune's Style and Flavor sections, encouraging use of more local voices in those areas to better represent the community. She previously worked as a reporter at Central Missouri Newspapers' The Lake Today, a weekly newspaper covering the Lake of the Ozarks area. Born and raised in Jefferson City, Martin is happy to serve her hometown by working to provide it quality local news coverage.
