Bio:
Allen Fennewald reports on rural community news and features for the Jefferson City News Tribune, California Democrat and Fulton Sun. He hails from a small Century Farm outside Martinsburg, Missouri. After graduating from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in English in 2013, he worked as a substitute teacher before becoming the full-time reporter for the Mexico Ledger. Fennewald returned to MU in 2014 and worked for the Columbia Missourian and Vox Magazine before moving to Washington, D.C., where he completed his graduate project as a correspondent for Youth Today and the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange. He graduated with a master's in journalism in December 2016. Fennewald also enjoys reading and writing literature and making music.
