During a joint press conference with Jefferson City officials, Gov. Jay Nixon announced the city and state have agreed to enter into a 15-year contract to partner with the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau for tours at the Missouri State Penitentiary grounds. The city and state will split the cost of repairs to the tourist site.
