Miguel Caballero, who has made armored vests for adults for more than 20 years, said he had never thought about making bulletproof goods for children. His new line of products are designed for children ranging in age from 8-16 years and are priced at anywhere from $150-$600 depending on the complexity of their construction. Each piece weighs between 2-4 pounds.
