The U.S. Postal Service on Wednesday announced plans to cut Saturday mail deliveries to save about $2 billion per year and offset declines in letter delivery. Holscher has worked for the Casper Post Office for almost 30 years and said he has seen the volume of mail drop off significantly in recent years.

The U.S. Postal Service will stop delivering mail on Saturdays but continue to deliver packages six days a week under a plan aimed at saving about $2 billion annually, the financially struggling agency says.
