As rookie running backs get work
ST. LOUIS — While Steven Jackson saves himself for Sunday, his rookie understudies are getting more shots to prove they belong. The St. Louis Rams running back was held out of practice for the second straight day Thursday while nursing a nagging groin injury. Daryl Richardson, who’s been impressive on game days, too, and Isaiah Pead got the bulk of the carries.
