As part of the state’s Trees for Tomorrow program, 20 fourth-graders at Pioneer Trail Elementary School helped plant two new young redbuds in front of their school Monday morning. The event is part of an initiative to plant thousands of trees around Missouri to compensate for ones cut down when roads and bridges are built.
