In this photo taken May 16, 2012, John Schmiedeler, right, poses for photos with his grandson Matthew in Kansas City, Mo. Schmiedeler was a part-time clubhouse manager for the visiting teams at the old Municipal Stadium in 1960, when he was 31-year-old math teacher. That year, Kansas City hosted the All-Star Game, featuring some of the all-time greats of the game making up the rosters.
