Helias blanks Boonville for district soccer crown
Boonville’s strategy was apparent from the start — stack as many players as they could in front of the goal to slow down the Helias offense. It worked for a while. Until the Lady Crusaders got a couple of goals to open things up. “We got them out of what they wanted to do a little bit, it just took some time,” Helias coach Chuck Register said after the Lady Crusaders rolled to a 9-0 win over the Lady Pirates in the Class 2 District 10 title game Wednesday at 179 Soccer Park.
