Jefferson City police and emergency personnel begin to help a gunshot victim lying on the ground in the 300 block of W. Dunklin St. on Thursday night after officers followed the man's blood trail from the nearby scene of a shooting where another man was found dead. The injured man was eventually taken to a Columbia hospital.

One man died and another man was injured during a shooting incident Thursday night in central Jefferson City. Police found the body of the homicide victim in the back seat of a car in the 400 block of Schroeder Way.
