This illustration released by Applesauce Press shows an image of Santa Claus smoking a pipe from the book, "The Night Before Christmas," illustrated by Charles Santore. A new book version of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" has been released that eliminates all references to a smoking Santa. Santore's version keeps the traditional lines from the 189-year-old holiday poem by Clement C. Moore.
