In order to do this right.... there is only one viable option and that is to spend the money on a new high school. The other options do nothing but continue stacking concrete in the same land locked area the school is sitting in right now! Stop penny pinching and build a totally new JCHS. Sure it 's gonna cost some doe-ray-me, but it won't be a wasted investment. Going with any of the other plans isn't being fiscally responsible, because your still gonna be land locked with no room to expand. You can dress it up by calling each building an Academy, but it's still gonna be simply adding onto the current buildings that are already in place. Also the South Academy idea is worst plan of all....that's really taking the cheap way out and will the biggest waste of funds.

I know money is tight, but that's the key reason we don't need to be wasting money on what amounts to nothing more than "add ons". Look JC has ridden this current HS for a long time. They've taken it in for services and gotten a fresh coat of paint as well. But this HS is high on mileage, falling apart and quite frankly isn't worth pumping any more money into. Sure we need to keep the building safe, clean and properly equipped, but that's it. It's time to let go of that old "Letter Jacket"....build the totally new JCHS....and yes, even though my child won't get a chance to attend classes there, I'd be at ease knowing my tax dollars are not going towards building up grades, but will be used to build a brand new modern school building.
