State regulators approved on Wednesday a $24 million rate increase for water and sewer customers of Missouri American Water Co. The average residential customer will see a 47 percent increase in his monthly bill.
Missouri American seeks water rate increase
Citing its “ongoing investment in water system improvements and the increasing costs of delivering high-quality, reliable service to customers,” Missouri American Water Co. on Thursday asked the state Public Service Commission to approve an “approximately $43 million” rate increase.
