During the 1950s, a growing economy fueled many a young person’s hopes and dreams for the future. But with the military draft in full force, the possibility of serving in the nation’s armed forces remained a somewhat inevitable circumstance. Born and raised on a farm in rural Moniteau County, Russellville resident Norris Siebert began working at Tambke’s Service Station upon his graduation from Russellville High School in 1953.
