Judy Voigt helps to secure the wreaths in the ground during the “Wreaths For Heroes” event at the National Cemetery on Saturday morning in Jefferson City, where volunteers placed 1,587 wreaths. Voigt has two sons serving in the military, so this event is dear to her heart.

The air was crisp and cold, but it did not stop nearly 275 volunteers of all ages from arriving early at Jefferson City’s National Cemetery, all to lay wreaths on the graves of some of the city’s veterans for Wreaths for Heroes.
