In this Dec. 8, 2011 photo, the original Hooters resturant in Clearwater, Fla. has undergone a major remodeling project that will increase the size of the restaurant and add a Hooters museum. The original opened in 1983. Today, there are more than 487 restaurants around the world.

The original Hooters was a ramshackle, dove-gray, two-story building perched on a stretch of road between Tampa and Clearwater Beach. Recently, Hooters management announced that the building is “undergoing a full-scale remodeling.”
