The “Home That Cans Built,” the latest completion by the River City Habitat for Humanity, was dedicated Monday evening. Jo Fretwell presents Latrise Wilson and her daughter, Myla, a bible and set of keys during a ceremony to dedicate her Montana Street residence. Behind Fretwell is Latrise’s mother, Kathryn Wilson, with whom she’s been living.

Students learn special lesson as ‘House That Cans Built’ handed over to new owner
LaTrise Wilson and her daughter, Myla, unwrapped two identical bags Monday night to find matching purple quilts in large and small sizes. At the corner of LaTrise’s quilt, a label commemorated the River City Habitat for Humanity’s first “House That Cans Built.”
