Grace Elizabeth DeGraffenreid

Grace Elizabeth DeGraffenreid, 7, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014, at the Women and Children's Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. On October 5, 2006, Grace was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Kevin W. and Danielle R. (Kempker) DeGraffenreid who survive of the home. Grace attended first grade at Eldon South Elementary School in Eldon, Mo., after graduating from the Special Learning Center in Jefferson City, Mo. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home, Mo. Other survivors include: brother, Jasper DeGraffenreid of the home; maternal grandparents, John W. and Gail Kempker of Henley, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Gary D. and Sherry DeGraffenreid of Eugene, Mo.; maternal great-grandparents, Leonard and Rosemary Kempker of Eugene, Mo.; paternal great-grandparents, Johnnie W. DeGraffenreid of Eldon, Mo.; Tillie and Gene Moad of Eldon, Mo., Artie Emmerich of Kansas City, Mo.; maternal aunts and uncles, John M. Kempker and wife Sarah; Gabrielle Sharp and husband B.J.; Jenna Vaughan and husband Derrick; Jessica Wise and husband James, all of Henley, Mo.; paternal aunt, Kimberly DeGraffenreid and Scott Durham of Steedman, Mo. and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Philip and Nora Kesel, and her paternal great-grandmother, Olive Sue DeGraffenreid Visitation will be Sunday, February 23, 2014, from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Center in Mary's Home, Mo. with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, February 24, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick J. Shortt and Alan McNeely officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Garden Cemetery in Eugene. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in care of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
