Jacquilin “Jackie” Ann Muenks

Jacquilin Ann "Jackie" Muenks, age 81, of Loose Creek, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at her home after a short battle with cancer. Jackie was born April 22, 1931, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late John and Georgia (Peters) Oidtman. Jackie was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek. On May 5, 1956, Jackie was united in marriage to Harold Muenks in Loose Creek. He survives at the home. Jackie was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek and St. Ann's Sodality. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, bird watching and cooking. In addition to her husband, Jackie is survived by: two sons, Andy Muenks and Tim Muenks both of Loose Creek; one daughter, Rachel Collett and her husband Randy of Jefferson City; one brother, John and his wife Pat Oidtman of Linn; two sisters, Martha Mitchell and her husband Roy of Independence and Jean Marie Porting and her husband Richard of Bonnots Mill; three grandchildren, Carrie Parazin and her husband Chris of Olathe, Kan., Zachary Collett of Kansas City and Maggie Collett of Jefferson City; three great-grandchildren, Vin, Grady and Campbell Parazin of Olathe, Kan., as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lee Kliethermes, Genrose Haslag and Patricia Muenks. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Don Antweiler as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
