Grace B. Eidson

Grace B. Eidson, 99, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Adams Street Place. She was born July 2, 1913, in Sagrada, Missouri, a daughter of the late William Archibald and Margaret Sophia (Rapp) Rice. She was a graduate of Hutchison High School in Hutchison, Kansas. On November 22, 1932, Grace was united in marriage in Climax Springs, Missouri, to Ralph N. Eidson, who preceded her in death on September 22, 2003. Grace was a homemaker, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, growing flowers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Grace is survived by a son: John D. Eidson (wife Deann) of Jefferson City; three grandchildren: Kelli Walker (husband Greg) of Eagle River, Alaska; Erik Eidson (wife Denice) of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Kristi Cook (husband Chris) of Junction City, Kansas; eight great-grandchildren: Todd and Shelbi Walker; Cole and Camryn Eidson; Katie, Ellie, Hannah, and Josh Cook; and one sister: Etta Hutton. In addition to her husband and her parents, Grace was preceded in death by one son: Larry Wayne Eidson; three sisters and five brothers. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Parrack Grove Cemetery in Macks Creek, Missouri.
