Sharon Kay Wilson

November 19, 1953 - June 10, 2013

Sharon Kay Wilson, 59, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born November 19, 1953, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Bob and Mary (Gilmore) Amos. She was a 1971 graduate of Jefferson City High School. On October 23, 1971, Sharon was united in marriage to Gordon Wilson, who survives at their home. Sharon was a Supervisor in the Sales Tax Division at the Missouri Department of Revenue for 30 years. She was also Financial Manager at Ewers Tires and Service. She was a member of the Highway 54 Church of Church, and attended Capital City Christian Church. Sharon enjoyed the outdoors, crappie fishing, gardening, and racing. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her husband Gordon, Sharon is also survived by a son: Damond Wilson (wife Teresa) of Jefferson City; a daughter: Dara Rackers (husband Chad) of Camp Casey, South Korea; one brother: David Amos (wife Paula) of Centertown; five grandchildren: Whitley Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Shane Rackers, Morgan Rackers, Zack Rackers; one nephew: Scott Amos (wife Marya) of St. Martins; and one great-nephew: Cody Amos. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Pastor Howard Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Eldon, Missouri.
