Helen “Tootie” Marie Keilholz

Helen Marie "Tootie" (Troesser) Keilholz, 82, of Frankenstein, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Capitol Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, while surrounded by her loving family. Helen Marie was born July 5, 1930, daughter to the late Anton and Hettie (Brullesauer) Troesser in Frankenstein. Helen Marie was the youngest of seven children. A lifetime resident of Frankenstein, Helen graduated from Frankenstein High School in 1949. On June 28, 1952, Helen Marie was united in marriage to Hubert Keilholz at Frankenstein. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2003. Helen worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Taylor and at Linn Factory before becoming a devoted mother of six amazing children. Once the children were raised, Helen volunteered at St. Mary's Grade School assisting children with reading. She worked at Linn Casey Store and Wolfe's Restaurant making donuts between 1986 and 1993. Later she worked at Green Meadows as a housekeeper. Helen was an active member of the Our Lady Help of Christians Church where she was a member of the choir for 40 years and worked as a housekeeper for the priests of the parish for 30 years. Helen lived on the family farm her entire life where she raised cattle, chickens and sold eggs. Helen loved to listen to music, quilt beautiful quilts for the parish picnics, always made time for conversation and was famous for her angel food cakes. Helen Marie and her warm heart will be deeply missed by her family. Helen is survived by: six children, Bernell Keilholz and wife Doris of Frankenstein, Harold Keilholz and wife Debbie of Frankenstein, Norma Thompson and husband Lonnie of Columbia, Tony Keilholz and wife Cathy of Frankenstein, Therese Fick and husband Mark of Columbia, Mike Keilholz and wife Nancy of Centerview; 13 grandchildren, Amy Davis and husband Ed of Freedom, Kevin Keilholz of Frankenstein, Jonathan Fowler of Fulton, Kristin Keilholz of Frankenstein and her fiancÈ Anthony Johnson, McKenzie Keilholz of Frankenstein, Heather and Scott Thompson of Columbia, T.J., Angela, Emily and Josef Keilholz of Frankenstein, Brandon Fick of Ames, Iowa and Brittany "Raine" Fick of Columbia, Grace and Ashlynn Keilholz of Centerview; and three great-grandchildren, Josh Fowler of Fulton, and Fayth and Jaxon Davis of Freedom. In addition to her spouse and parents, Helen was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, Frank Troesser, Leo Troesser, Ted Troesser, Nettie Samson, Dolores Grahl, and Eddie Troesser; and two great-grandchildren, Konnor and Kaelin Davis. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein with Fr. John Schmitz as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery in Frankenstein. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Mary's School in Frankenstein.
