John Marvin Glover

John Marvin Glover, 66, of Holts Summit, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was the born on August 22, 1946, the son of John Wilbur and Lula Mae (Buckner) Glover. On October 14, 1966, he was united in marriage in Fulton, Missouri to Norma Jean Black who survives at the home. John graduated from Fulton High School in 1964, and attended University of Missouri-Columbia and Capital Business College. He worked for Chesebrough Ponds, Overnite Transportation, UPS, Wise Brothers and Shryock Farms. He was a member of the Committee for Fulton High School Class of 1964 and a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #4. He enjoyed farming where he started working at the age of 9. He loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Along with his wife: Norma Jean Glover, and father: John Glover, he is survived by his three sons: John Marvin Glover Jr. (Michelle) of Rockledge, Florida, Craig Michael Glover Sr. of Holts Summit, and Blake Mandel Glover (Olga) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; nine grandchildren: Paige T. Glover Jones, Reneisha Glover, Nicole Ziegler, Bryant Glover, Craig M. Glover Jr., Taylor Glover, Kristian Rodriguez, Julia Zamora, and Kole Alexander; three great-grandchildren: Cameron, Olivia, and Kaileigh; paternal grandparents: Ben and Elvelyn Buckner and maternal grandmother: Maggie Glover. John was preceded in death by his mother: Lula Mae Buckner-Glover and grandfather: Willard T. Glover. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. Charles D. Black officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
