Kenneth E. Campbell

Mr. Kenneth E. Campbell, age 76 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center. Kenneth was born on August 9, 1936, in Lansing, Mich., the son of Earl V. and Sue O. Silvernail Campbell. He was married to Margaret L. Curtis. Kenneth was employed as a pipefitter with General Motors in Flint, Michigan for 20 years and enjoyed being a part time farmer. He loved having his four sons help him on the farm. After his employment with General Motors, he moved to Versailles in 1976. While living in central Missouri, he owned Ozark Appliance Center in Gravois Mills, Mo. He spent many hours outdoors hunting and fishing when he was younger. He was extremely proud of raising four boys and all their accomplishments. Survivors include: four sons, Michael Campbell and his wife Carlene of Eugene, Mo., William Earl Campbell of Eugene, Mo., Kenneth Robert Campbell and his wife Donna of Harriman, Tenn., and Richard Campbell and his wife Jane of Cadiz, Ky.; two sisters, Sharon Mervyn of Caro, Mich. and Donna McDaniel of Caro, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Joyce Hetherington, Carol Koop, and Kaye Helzer; and one brother, William Campbell. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Kenny McCune officiating. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
