Ruby J. Wyrick

Ruby J. Wyrick, 85, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Capital Region in Jefferson City. She was born on February 13, 1928, near Marion, Mo., the daughter of George and Ora Belle (Allen) Connell, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on July 9, 1969, in Jefferson City to Herbert Wyrick who preceded her in death on Monday, April 1, 2013. She graduated from Centertown High School. Ruby worked for and retired from the Missouri Department of Revenue. She enjoyed dancing and singing, and different political activities with the Democratic Party. She is survived by two sons, Danny Elliott and wife Glenda, and Steve Elliott, all of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law Bill Wyrick of Jefferson City; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Repper and husband Bob of Naples, Fla., and Ruby Connell of California, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ron and Howard Elliott; one daughter, Brenda Elliott; three brothers, Raymond Connell and wife Hazel, Clarence Connell, and Ed Connell and wife Eunice; two sisters, Florence Brown and husband Louis, and Carmen Connell; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Wyrick. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Marion. Officiating will be Rev. David Avery. Visitation will also be held on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the New Hope Cemetery Association, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
