Dennis Kieth Tripp U.S. Veteran

Dennis Kieth Tripp, 73, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at St. Mary's Heath Center. He was born Oct. 8, 1939, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Percy Raymond and Annie Belle (Lairmore) Tripp. On August 13, 1976, he was united in marriage at St. John's Baptist Church, in St. Johns, Missouri to Florine Boese, she survives at the home. Dennis attended Dozier Elementary School in St. Louis and was a 1958 graduate of Normandy High School in Pagedale, Missouri. He was employed with General Motors Warehouse and Distributing from 1958 to 1988. He later worked at Sears in 1995 to 2000, and Lowe's Home Improvement from 2001 to 2006, both in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dennis served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, serving in Fort Hood, Texas from 1963 to 1964, and Camp Zama, Japan from 1964 to 1965. He was a member of the First Church of God and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Dennis enjoyed airplanes, doing computer flight simulators, watching Fox News and going to car shows and car museums. Along with his wife Florine he is survived by three daughters: Gina Parsons (husband Don) of St. Peters, Margaret Tripp of Springfield, Missouri and Becky Mattas (husband Ray) of Emporia, Kansas; one brother: L. Jerome Tripp (wife Margaret) of Peyton, Colorado; one sister: Maretta Romine (husband Bob) of Carlyle, Illinois and four grandchildren: Skyler and Lindsay Parsons and Wyatt and Samantha Mattas. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God with Reverend Robert Kespelher officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
