Diana Kay Williams

Diana Kay Williams, 72, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Heisinger Bluffs, surrounded by her family. She was born May 8, 1940, in Winchester, Indiana, the daughter of the late Gerald and Audrey (Gilliam) Bright. She was a 1958 graduate of Monroe High School in West Manchester, Ohio. On October 29, 1966, Diana was united in marriage in Eaton, Ohio, to Marshall Clark Williams, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2009. Diana was a homemaker, and also worked in bookkeeping and accounting in several St. Louis firms. Diana enjoyed crafts, crocheting, camping, being a girl scout leader, and playing games with friends and family. Diana is survived by two daughters: Varonda K. Kemmerling (husband Larry) of St. Charles, Mo.; C. Renee Duenckel (husband Curt) of Jefferson City; three brothers: Richard Bright of San Antonio, Texas; Basil Bright of San Antonio, Texas; Gary Bright of New Ulm, Texas; and two grandchildren: Cole Duenckel and Claire Duenckel. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Sloan. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Calvary Lutheran High School or the Immanuel Lutheran School at Honey Creek.
