Joshua Eugene Bailey, 23, of Wardsville, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. He was born April 7, 1988, in Columbia, Missouri, a son of Stacey Bailey and Scot Lowry. He was a graduate of Blair Oaks High School in Wardsville. Joshua enjoyed the outdoors, various sports, especially baseball, and riding four wheelers. He also loved spending time with his family. Joshua is survived by two children: Aubree Bailey and Braelynn Bailey, and their mother: Kirsti Reynolds; his mother: Stacey Bailey (Bruce Hoelscher) of Wardsville; his father: Scot Lowry (wife Cathy) of Wardsville; six siblings: Brooke Bailey, Dustin Hoelscher, Dallas Hoelscher, Logan Lowry, Jordyn Lowry, and Lanie Lowry; paternal grandfather: Howard Lowry (Thelma) of Eldon; paternal grandmother: Barbara Lowry of New Bloomfield; maternal grandmother: Mary Herx (Tom) of Eldon; maternal grandfather: Arnold Bailey of New Bloomfield; cousins: Brittany McNamer, Brendon Bailey, Payton Kempker, Jesse Weed, Jadelyn Weed, Elijah Farris, Jericho Farris, Clayton Issler, Aria Wieberg, Devon Spaulding, Derek Spaulding, Abby McKnelly, Adam Bailey, Trey Bailey, Jamie Reed and Mike Reed; one niece: Paige Bailey-Folker; five uncles: Neal Bailey of New Bloomfield, Justin Bailey of New Bloomfield, Justin Lowry of Des Moines, Iowa, Brad Lowry of New Bloomfield, Arnold Bailey Jr. of Linn; five aunts: Shelley Bailey (Steve Kempker) of New Bloomfield, Stephanie Wieberg (Brad) of Jefferson City, Betsy Issler (Mike) of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Genie Reed (Dan) of Jefferson City, Pam Spaulding (Shane) of Holts Summit; and Joshua's girlfriend: Sammy Lacefield. He was preceded in death by a cousin: Chris Reed. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2012, at Bible Baptist Church, 4730 Country Club Drive in Jefferson City, with Pastor Randy Dignan officiating. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Joshua Bailey Children's Educational Fund.
