Mary Louise Pappas, 82, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born March 11, 1929, in Ashley, Missouri, a daughter of Bryan and Mary (Baxter) Frazier. Mary was a 1947 graduate of Bowling Green High School and in 1949 earned an Associate Degree in Commerce and Accounting from Hannibal-LaGrange College. On November 28, 1958, Mary was united in marriage in Murphy, North Carolina, to George Pappas, who preceded her in death on February 29, 2000. She worked as an accountant for various firms from 1949 until her retirement in 1991. Mary was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she had served as treasurer and sang with the choir. She is survived by one son, Steven P. Pappas and wife Lexie of Overland Park, Kansas; a son-in-law, Donald Gill of Jefferson City; one sister, Shirley Case and husband Harry of Warrenton; five grandchildren: Tanner Gill, Michael Pappas, Nicholas Pappas, Callie Gill, Ally Pappas; a niece, Julie Case-Jaramillo of New Mexico; and a nephew, Jason Case of Warrenton. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle K. Gill, on August 30, 2008. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Mueller officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
