She married the late Gene Ferguson, in 1941, until his death in 1970. She later married the late Phillip Timpone, in St. Louis until his death in 2001. Settling in St. Louis with husband Gene, after World War II, she lived there until she moved to Sag Harbor, N.Y., in 2001, to be close to her daughter. She was known by those who loved her as "Honey". She loved playing cards with her friends, became an avid golfer with frequent trips to Florida and on endless spring days tended to her flowers at her home in Greenbriar Hills. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would do anything to spend yet another day playing, encouraging and loving them.
