James Neal Bybee

February 11, 1974 - July 14, 2012

James Neal Bybee, 38, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born February 11, 1974, in Independence, Mo., a son of Edwin and Lorna (Connell) Bybee. He was a 1993 graduate of Jefferson City High School. James owned and operated Power Washing and Deck Restoration, and was also in the construction trade. He loved his pets Daisy, Mikko, Tootsie and Cheech. James was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2693. James enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, computer games, music, barbecuing and trying new foods. He loved to watch NASCAR, and most of all he loved to be around his nieces and nephews. James is survived by his fiancée: Jaime Jones of the home; his parents: Edwin and Lorna Bybee of Jefferson City; two brothers: Eric Bybee (wife Darcy) of Jefferson City and their children: Charlotte, Claire and Emmett; Kyle Bybee (wife Hilary) of Kansas City; Jaime's brothers: Jared Jones, Jordin Jones, Justin Dampf and his children: Ryder and Savannah; and his maternal grandmother: Wilma Quick. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Shelley and Gladys Bybee; and maternal grandfathers: Paul Quick and Gayle Connell. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Vansant officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Jefferson City Humane Society or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
