Cletus P. Rustemeyer, age 83, of Loose Creek, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn. Cletus was born May 17, 1929, in Loose Creek, a son to the late Henry and Pauline (Schmitz) Rustemeyer. Cletus was a 1948 graduate of Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. Cletus worked as a turkey farmer and raised turkeys for Cargill Corporation. Cletus was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek, The Holy Name Society and VFW Post #4756 in Linn. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his family. Survivors include: one sister, Mary Stegeman of Loose Creek; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Rustemeyer of Bonnots Mill; 11 nieces and nephews, David F. Stegeman, Jean Marie Stegeman, Paula Ann Plassmeyer, Dennis C. Stegeman, John C. Stegeman, Mary Kay Holterman, Jeanette Hook, Marilyn Voss, Geneva Menges, Richard C. Rustemeyer, and Andy C. Rustemeyer; 21 great-nieces and nephews, and several great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his twin brother, Clem Rustemeyer and his brother, Ferdinand Rustemeyer and one brother-in-law, Francis Stegeman. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Morton Chapel in Linn with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with Fr. Don Antweiler as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery with full military honors. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or School. Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Chapel, Linn, Mo. (897-2214)
