Mrs. Dorothy J. "Dottie" Clark, age 80 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Golden Living Center. Dottie was born February 25, 1931, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of Horace E. and Carrie Rigney Combs. She was married on August 20, 1950 in Norman, Okla., to Edgar Clark, who preceded her in death on June 22, 2006. She graduated from Norman High School, Norman, Okla., and attended the University of Oklahoma. A homemaker, Dottie had been a resident of the Jefferson City area for the past 40 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; and a past member of the Council of Clubs, the X Club and the Meadow Lake Acres Ladies Golf Assn. She was a volunteer with Memorial Community Hospital for many years. Dottie enjoyed cooking, golf, and sewing. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include: three daughters, Carol Anne Dayton and her husband Tom of Dickinson, Texas, Mary E. Clark and Pattie S. Burkhardt and her husband Larry of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Anne Zachry of Kansas City, Kan. and Mary Helen Downing of Norman, Okla.; six grandchildren, Morgan Burkhardt, Taylor Burkhardt, Jordan Burkhardt, Corey Burkhardt, Matt Dayton and his wife Kristin and Lindsay Beeler and her husband Brad; and four great-grandchildren, Riley and Tyler Dayton and Jacob and Sam Beeler. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed; and three brothers, Eugene Combs, Robert Combs and William Combs. Visitation will be at the First Presbyterian Church from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2012. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. Robert Erickson and the Reverend Dr. David Henry officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Riverview Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church.
