Patricia “Pat” Caine

June 28, 1951 - December 10, 2012

Patricia "Pat" Caine, 81, of Eldon, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012, at her home. On December 2, 1931, she was born in Versailles, the daughter of the late Roy and Lois (Austin) Robinson. On June 28, 1951, in Versailles, she was united in marriage to John Joseph Caine, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2003. Together the two were very active in civic and community organizations throughout the Eldon and Lake area. Pat was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church of Eldon, where she also sang in the church choir. A member of the Miller County Nursing Home Board, the Evening Euterpean Club, Chapter CH of P.E.O., DAR, the Lake Area Chorale, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. As a longtime volunteer with the Lake Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Pat volunteered over 8000 hours from 1977-2001. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, John and Brenda Caine of Eldon; Richard and Tami Caine of Eldon; five grandchildren, Natalie Caine and her husband Matt Trygstad, Adam and his wife Lisa Caine, Erin and her husband Erik Svoboda, Emily Caine and Joseph Caine; one great-grandson, John Trygstad; sister, Betty Shuppert of Eldon; sister-in-law, Pat Robinson of Versailles; brother-in-law, William A. Caine of Versailles. Two brothers, Bob Robinson and Jack Robinson, preceded her in death. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon. Funeral service will be on Friday December 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Eldon United Methodist Church of Eldon with Rev. Steven George officiating. Interment will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery in Eldon. Memorials for Pat are suggested to the Eldon United Methodist Church or the Lake Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
