Gregory Dale Scott

October 10, 1944 - November 29, 2012

Gregory Dale Scott, 68, of Centertown, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 29, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born October 10, 1944, in Jefferson City, a son of Alfred and Mildred (Brown) Scott. On February 26, 1966, Gregory was united in marriage to Fern Hartman, who survives at their home. Gregory was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He worked as a sales coordinator for Daniel Lynch Sales Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Gregory loved his work, which took Fern and he throughout the United States and Canada. In his spare time, Gregory enjoyed working on his farm. In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by three children: Kimberly Anne Shell and husband James of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, Gregory Dale Scott II and wife Lila of Phoenix, Arizona, Amy Lynette Heiland and husband Chris of Jamestown, Missouri; one sister, Janet Renken and husband Gayle of Centertown, Missouri; two brothers: Tim Scott and wife Deanie and David Scott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and 11 grandchildren: Austin, Alexandria, Mackenzie, Halle and Avery Shell, Kenza and Camille Scott, McKayla, Madison, Morgan and Logan Heiland. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Monte Shinkle and Rev. Jon Nelson officiating. Visitation with the family will be held following the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Concord Baptist Church. Greg was an outstanding individual both in his professional and personal life. His spirit was always upbeat and positive while his dedication was unyielding. He will be sorely missed and always remembered. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends.
