Dorothy O Case

January 6, 1922 - August 22, 2012

Mrs. Dorothy O. Case, age 90 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the Adams Street Place. Dorothy was born January 6, 1922, in Bunceton, Mo., the daughter of William N. and Cammie O. Lewis Betteridge. She was married on October 13, 1940, in Bunceton, Mo., to Robert E. Case who preceded her in death on January 10, 2003. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Bunceton, Mo. until moving to Jefferson City in 1979. She was a 1939 graduate of Bunceton High School and a 1940 graduate of the Dunkle Business School. A homemaker, she was a 28 year member and Sunday School Teacher at the Bunceton Baptist Church; a member of the Auxiliary of the American Legion; a member of the WMU Missionary; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Since 1979, she has been a member of Concord Baptist Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Jane Odneal and her husband Don of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sons, James Nelson Case and his wife Martha Dean of Jefferson City, Mo. and John Earl Case of Jefferson City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Mitch Odneal, Robert Odneal and Justin Case, all of Jefferson City, Mo.; and four great-grandchildren, Brent Daniel, Taylor Case, Connor Case, and Kynadie Kemna. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Lucille Gerhardt. Visitation will be at Concord Baptist Church from 11:00 until 12:00 noon Saturday, August 25, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Concord Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Bunceton Cemetery, Bunceton, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Concord Baptist Church Building Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary. www.freemanmortuary.com
