Ernest Daniel Hodges U.S. Veteran

Ernest Daniel Hodges, 76, of Leesburg, Fla., passed away Friday, August 3, 2012. Born in Sedalia, Mo., he was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. After his Air Force service, he was with the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, retiring after 27 years of service. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Mary, of Leesburg, Fla.; one son, Doug Hodges, of Leesburg, Fla.; four daughters, Lisa Larson of Geneva, Fla., Tina Roche of Overland Park, Kan., Debby Layson of Olathe, Kan. and Wendy Hodges of Austin, Texas; one sister, Shirley Schmitz of Bonnots Mill, Mo.; and six grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. Those who wish may make contributions to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
