Charles Moseley Jr.

Mr. Charles F. Moseley Jr., age 75 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Charles was born on August 22, 1936, in Santa Monica, Calif., the son of Charles F. Sr. and Floy L. Loveless Moseley, both deceased. He was married on May 20, 1989, at the First Church of the Nazarene to Miriam J. Bentch. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Charles graduated from Jefferson City High School and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia. He was employed with the Missouri Department of Revenue for 25 years retiring on January 1, 2002. Before his work with the Department of Revenue, Charles worked with NASA space program where he helped design parts for space shuttles. Charles was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and also enjoyed reading, collecting stamps and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include: his wife, Miriam J. Moseley; his son, Christopher A. Burcks and his wife Shannon of Centralia, Mo.; two granddaughters, Alyssa Burcks and Hailey Burcks of Centralia, Mo.; his mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Betty Bentch of Holts Summit, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Dennis Bentch and his wife Bev of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Elaine Huff and her husband Bob of Russellville, Mo.; four nephews, Ryan Bentch, Brandon Bentch, Chad Huff, and Ethan Huff; three nieces, Carmen Bentch, Lindsey Kramer and Lauren Bentch; and his great-nieces and nephews, Madalyn, Lillian, Claire, and Ashton. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Rob Kespelher officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
