John William Logan, 52, of Columbia, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Mo. He was born on February 7, 1960, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of the late Nelson A. and Genevieve (Scott) Logan. He was united in marriage on December 10, 2010, to Rael Rotich, who survives at their home. He attended Jefferson City Public Schools. John was a custodian at Lincoln University in Jefferson City and the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. He was a member of the One In Christ Baptist Church in Jefferson City. John is also survived by one daughter: Tameika Jackson (Alan) of Jefferson City; one son: Wesley Mahaney of Jefferson City; three brothers: Nelson Logan Jr. of Jefferson City; Mikel Logan of St. Louis; and Bruce Logan of Kansas City; two aunts: Josephine Butler and Jeannie Dale Logan, both of Kansas City; three grandchildren: Marcus Mahaney, Malik Logan Jackson and Alana Jackson. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Mahaney officiating. Interment will be held in the Oak Chapel Cemetery in Guthrie. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the John Logan Grandchildren's Educational Fund.
