Donald A. Edwards, 58, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011. He was born May 10, 1953, in Tuscumbia, the son of James Grant and Rose (Millonzi) Edwards, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married September 22, 2006, to (Jo) Jodonna Keith, who survives of the home. He was a 1971 graduate of Tuscumbia High School and a member of Tuscumbia First Baptist Church. He retired as a Captain from the Missouri Dept. of Corrections in 2006, and most recently worked for First Student as a driver for the Gateway Special Learning Center. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, woodworking and watching westerns. He is survived by two daughters, Betsey Browning and husband Keith of Lake Ozark, and Amy Schwartze and husband Robert of Freeburg; two step-sons, Randy Atterberry and wife Carrie of Kingdom City, and Darrell Atterberry of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one step-daughter, Brandy Keith of Jefferson City; three brothers, James Edwards and wife Linda of Eldon, Mike Edwards and wife Reggie of Tuscumbia, and Ronnie Edwards and wife Millie of Nokeville, Va.; one sister, Charlene Keeney and husband Dennie of Holts Summit; five grandchildren, Nick, Casey, Hayden, Taylor, and Keith; nine step-grandchildren, Dylan, James, Ryan, Rachelle, Mailee, Triston, Cheyenne, Kaylan, and Haleigh; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney and Sam. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Tuscumbia. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to either St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.
